drawing. Our attendance was 25 members and 1
guest. Mr. Curt Hodges with the Jonesboro Sun was a
guest of Lion President Ron Erwin. He left the
meeting with an application in hand.

to report for our Car Show. The Jonesboro City
Council Advertising Promotion Committee has made a
contribution to our 2008 Car Show in the amount of
$7,000.00. Now is the time we should be contacting
businesses for sponsorships for our car show.

Our Lions Club
Auction is only six weeks away and much work needs
to be done in collecting the auction items. Take
the auction items to Lion Albert Frankenberger’s
office. The auction date is December 8, at

receiving our pecans to sell shortly. It has been
suggested that we might find 10 businesses where we
can place our pecans on sale by consignment.

Our speaker this
week was our President Lion Ron Ervin. Lion Ron had
a video presentation on the missionary trip
sponsored by Central Baptist Church to Malawi,
Africa. The four participants helped establish 4
churches and 2,800 natives made decisions to follow

than 6,000 people have received eye surgeries.

November 3 is the date of the Trumann Lions Club
annual barbeque. This will be the 31st
barbeque for the Trumann Lions Club. They will
serve from noon until 7. P. M., at Cedar Park
Elementary School in Trumann.
