Many of our members attended his memorial
service Tuesday. He was a great Lion and will be
missed by our club.

Quarter. Lion Pat has worked hard the past 3
Dyeann's House, organizing Leo Clubs,
our Flag Project and the District 7-0
Convention, just to mention a few of the service
activities he has given our club and Lionism.

Thanks goes to Lion Charles Hartwig for a most
Peace Poster Contest at Jonesboro Fox
Meadow Intermediate School and Nettleton
Intermediate Center with the winners being
announced Monday. Cash awards were given to the
1st, 2nd, and 3rd
place winners. This year there were over 400
entries and a special thanks goes to Mrs. Laura
Kessinger, art teacher at NIC for her part in
correlating and judging the poster entries.
Dickens has the pecans now - 106 cases to sell.
This project needs to be concluded within the
next four or five weeks as the pecans need to be
paid for within 30 days. If you have not gotten
your supply to sell, please see Lion Bill this
week. The plain variety sell for $7.50 per bag
or $22.00 for 3 bags. All the other varieties
sell for $7.00 per bag or $20.00 for 3 bags.
Auction is now only 4 weeks away and we have not
collected any items for the auction. Letís get
out this week and get items and sign up sponsors
for our auction which is December 8.

District Governor Norine Westerbeck.
Lion Norine talked about activities of clubs in
our district and stressed the need for
membership growth. She congratulated our club
for helping put on a successful District 7-0
Convention and stated our convention had better
attendance than the other 3 districts in the
Next Tuesday is
our regular business meeting.
